For the last couple of months, in amongst our other projects, we've been working hard on the complete fit out of this commercial crew transfer RIB, CRC Vanguard, for the fantastic team at Commercial RIB Charter based in Lymington.
We received a bare hull and superstructure from Ribcraft and have undertaken the complete fit out of the entire vessel here at our base in Salterns Marina.
It's been a really exciting but challenging project bringing together all of our resources and working hard as a team to meet the tight schedule, ready for the boat to be in action in the middle of July.
Every single thing you see in the following photos (basically everything that isn't white apart from the tubes!) was installed by Seacraft Marine. We undertook the entire DC and AC electrical design and installation, the fit of all windows, water-tight doors, railings and seats, as well as fitting a range of equipment including:
Navigation & Communications: 2 x Garmin 7416 touch screen plotter/HD radar/sonar, 2 x Garmin 300i fixed VHF's, McMurdo Class A AIS.
Lighting & Onboard Comfort: LED navigation and deck flood lights, white and red LED cabin lights, Blue LED strobe lights, high powered search light, heating system, 14 Grammar suspension seats, heads and a galley area.
Deck & Engines: MOB recovery davit, Jason's cradle, boarding hand rails, cabin access door, 2 x Suzuki 325hp engines.
The work took four weeks to complete from start to finish. Here are some photos of the work in progress:
We've recently been sent these photos from Commercial RIB Charters and I'm sure you'll agree with us that the boat is looking amazing.
Our thanks to Commercial RIB Charter in Lymington for getting us involved in this brilliant project. To find out more you can visit their website: https://www.commercialribcharter.co.uk
